Ephesians 2:10 Our Daily Devotional
For we are His handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Text: Ephesians 2:10

Please read the whole of Ephesians 2 bring your questions and comments.

As we spend time in the Word of God, we begin to learn that each one of us has been made for a specific purpose. Each one of us is a work of God!
The Bible tells us that God is the potter and we are the clay (Isaiah 64:8), that we are engraved on the palms of his hands (Isaiah 49:16), and that he has fashioned each one of us individually (Psalm 33:15).

A hammer is made for pounding nails, a saw for cutting wood, and a screwdriver for tightening screws. It would be silly to try to saw with a hammer, or tighten a screw with a saw. In the same way we have been created in Christ Jesus for individually unique purposes. Each one of us needs to be zealous in discovering the good works that God has planned for us. Each one of us needs to find out specifically what it is that God wants us to do. And each one of us needs to do the work with the talent God has instilled within us.

I have found people are the most fulfilled when they allow God’s Spirit to carry out the work God has designed through them. It is incumbent that we make ourselves available to the Lord for him to accomplish his work through us.

Ask yourself this questions:

In what ways are you making yourself available to God so that he can work through you?
If this is a new concept for you, or if you haven’t experienced God using you to accomplish his work, what steps can you take to make yourself more available to him?
