My heart is overflowing with the a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Text: Psalm 45:1 If we desire to reap eternal benefits and experience a full life from the Spirit in our mortal bodies, we must “sow” to the Spirit. We do that by focusing our attention on Christ and by reciting his words back to him, for he is our King. The author of this verse had dipped his mind into the depths of Scripture and he “recited” his verses before the king; reciting means he had committed them to memory. Jesus refers to the Word of God as being seed. When we “recite our verses” to our King, we are sowing that seed in the field of our soul and our spirit. As we practice this sowing to the Spirit, he causes the seed of God’s Word to be implanted in our hearts, and then to gestate and grow. This wonderful process brings us new life, enlightenment, strength, wisdom, and peace, all of which will impact our lives in a mighty way. I’ve

Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. Text: Proverbs 4:23 Truly, our behavior springs from our hearts! That is why it is critical that we spend time immersed in God’s Word every day. God’s Word will protect our hearts from being consumed with the things of this world. This is the only way we can obtain a perspective which properly balances temporal and eternal concerns in life. This perspective will impact what we do and do not do in this world. We must soak our hearts in the Word of God! And that takes time. I like to call it “heart time.” The ways in which we invest in God’s kingdom are truly a reflection of heart time. It determines where we spend our time, talent and treasure. The more time we spend in God’s Word, the more we realize that the matter of kingdom investing needs to have a high priority in our lives. Heart time influences our desires. Are our minds preoccupied with the desires of the flesh or with the desi

To him who is afflicted, kindness should be shown by his friend, Even though he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.  Text: Job 6:14. When we’ve had a loss or disappointment, the natural reaction is to withdraw from others. But God doesn’t want you to try handling pain or loss or stress by yourself. The Bible says, “When desperate people give up on God Almighty, their friends, at least, should stick with them. Job 6:14. God commands us to bear each other’s burdens! We’re told to “encourage one another and build each other up” 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Every one of us will experience difficulties and pain. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor, old or young. Every one of us will face troubles and pain. This is why close relationships or small groups are so important. The Bible says, “By helping each other in your troubles, you truly obey the law of Christ” Galatians 6:2. Job says, “Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty” (Job 6:14) declar

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.  Text: 1 Corinthians 1:18 Understanding the power of the cross is instrumental in our understanding of the concepts of KingdomNomics. It is by the cross that we are crucified to the world and have new life in Jesus Christ. Paul boasted about the cross in his own life with regard to his relationship to the world and the passions of the flesh. He was dead to them by the power of the cross. The same can be said of us when we apply the power of the cross to our own lives. God’s power overcame Jesus’ death on the cross! And it is the power of the cross that gives us new hope and new perspective for living. Through the power of the cross, we are able to overcome the giants of consumerism and greed. They relentlessly pursue us to keep us from giving to the work of God. It is the power of the cross that enables us to overcome these giants by the pract

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Text: Jeremiah 33:3 This passage is impossible to read without wanting it to be true! For me, personally, this is a “button pusher.” It indicates that God wants to be an integral part of our lives. Not only does God reveal his will to us by his Spirit, but he also shows us other great and mighty things. These can include his counsel, guidance, blessing, or opportunities in our professions or for ministry. Nothing is beyond the sovereignty of the Creator of heaven and earth!  Job, when he acknowledged the awesome acts of the God as the One who hangs the earth on nothing, who stirs up the sea in all of its power, and by his Spirit adorns the heavens, said that we have indeed only seen the mere edges of God’s ways! This is also true of our relationship with the almighty God. We have so much more to see and experience in the days ahead as we continue to learn more about him.

Quote of the Day

Experience is one thing you can't get for nothing. Experience comes with commitments in whatever you're doing, you can't just sleep, wake up and you say you experience of something, No! It doesn't work that way, you need to start doing something, that where your experience lies. Experience they say it's the best teacher, it's not everything you learn with words, or what you see your master, tutor or teacher do that makes you grate in life, most likely those experiences they have it's what they are using to lecture you to become a better person, but you have to develop on your own, don't base all you know in what you've been taught. Develop yourself to be better than your teacher, model, lecturer, or mentor. Remember experience comes with doing! Be hard working...

Therefore I will not restrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul. Text: Job 7:11 Our emotions could go out of hand but God can handle it! He can handle our anger, doubt, fear, questions, grief, and even complaints. So you be sincere, tell it to God as it is. Get it off your shoulders. Express exactly how you feel: Job was brutally honest with God: Therefore I will not restrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul. (Job 7:11). He continued, "I give up; I am tired of living. Leave me alone. My life makes no sense. Why are people so important to you? Why pay attention to what they do? You inspect them every morning and test them every minute. Won’t you look away long enough for me to swallow my spit? Are you harmed by my sin, you jailer?” Job 7:12-20 If you were God, how would you react to that? Maybe get angry? Is that what God did? No! Beca

For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Text: Romans 10:13. What point are you in life? Are you at a place in your life where you need to be saved? Then its time to call out for help! It doesn’t take a special call, all you have to do is ask Jesus and he will save you. You can call over any area of your life: be it a relationship, a financial situation, a health issue, anything; you just have to ask. Be confident to ask. Psalms 91:15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. Please bear in mind, God doesn’t lie. It would be contrary to his character because he is total truth. Also, note that God says you have to do your part and then he’ll do his part. You call, he answers. That’s it. Just call on the name of the Lord: the name Jesus. Now it’s vital to understand that in any rescue operation, the saviour gets to determine the means and method of the operation. I mean, it’s not

(Hebrews 13:14) For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. (Philippians 3:20) For our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ. If you feel unsettled at times and wonder just where you fit into this world, this may be God’s way of telling you not to become too comfortable down here. This unsettledness comes because we know that this world, in its present form, is passing away! We also know that the man who does the will of God will live forever. The brevity of this life sends us a message–don’t fall in love with this world because we are just passing through. I love the fact that our citizenship is in heaven! Our hearts should be set on pilgrimage. We are strangers in an alien world. We do not have an enduring city. The more we see of this dysfunctional world, the more we need to seek the world to come. Our citizenship may be in heaven, but in the meantime, we are amb

For we are His handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Text: Ephesians 2:10 Please read the whole of Ephesians 2 bring your questions and comments. As we spend time in the Word of God, we begin to learn that each one of us has been made for a specific purpose. Each one of us is a work of God! The Bible tells us that God is the potter and we are the clay (Isaiah 64:8), that we are engraved on the palms of his hands (Isaiah 49:16), and that he has fashioned each one of us individually (Psalm 33:15). A hammer is made for pounding nails, a saw for cutting wood, and a screwdriver for tightening screws. It would be silly to try to saw with a hammer, or tighten a screw with a saw. In the same way we have been created in Christ Jesus for individually unique purposes. Each one of us needs to be zealous in discovering the good works that God has planned for us. Each one of us needs to find out specifically what i

But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God. Text: Psalms 40:17  Please read the whole of Psalms 40 bring your questions and comments. Some people are scared to trust their lives in the hands of Jesus. Why? they think that he will narrow and cramp their style and life with a lot of rules and restrictions. But the opposite is the case when Christ comes into your life. Instead of making your life more religious, he makes it more alive. He makes you more fully human and able to experience the life you were meant to live. He expands your horizons and gives you the ability to see things you’ve never seen before. You may be living a good life now, but God wants to offer you a better life. Psalms 18:19 He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. God expands the possibilities for your life because he delights in you.   And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Text: Psalms 50:15. Please read the whole of Psalms 50  bring your questions and comments. God wants you to ask him for help when you are in trouble. And I guess that this must be a quick, short, to-the-point kind of a call: Like, Help!. When temptation strikes suddenly you don’t have time for a long prayer to God, simply cry out! Lord help me! I know that no human calls out another for help mentioning their first and last names. David, Daniel is just enough. Countless people in the Bible prayed this kind of instant prayer for help whilst in trouble. The Bible guarantees that our cry for help will be heard because Jesus is sympathetic to our struggle. He faced the same kinds of problems we do. He understands our weaknesses. If God is waiting to help us, why don’t we turn to him more often? Honestly, sometimes is like we don’t want to be helped! At that moment we think we kno

Thus as a believer, you can boost of the heavenly Father who has promised to take care of you. Put God first in every area of your life:  Mathew 6:31-33. Anytime you take God out of the center of your life and put anything else there, no matter how good it is, you’re going to worry. Live one day at a time: Mathew 6:34. If you’re worrying about tomorrow, you can’t enjoy today and You'll miss today’s blessings. It’s okay to plan for tomorrow, but you have to live for today. Reasons why should remain persistent in prayer Praying Persistently focuses our attention. Praying over and over the same request is not to remind God. He doesn’t need to be reminded like us that God is the source of our answers and needs. If every prayer we ever prayed were instantly answered, two things would happen. First, prayer would actually hurt us because sometimes we pray for things that are not God’s will, or we make mistakes. Second, we would never really develop a deep relationship with God, because he would become just a vending machine. With instant answers when we pray, we would always think of the blessing, but God wants us to think about the

What does God expect us to do whilst in this position? It is observed that we can endure waiting as long as we can grumble while we wait? Sin always involves deceit. To stop this self defeating experiences, you must stop deceiving yourself. To do this: Take a honest look at your life. Face the truth and deal with any issue you discover. Answer the question: Is there something in my life that I am pretending is not a problem?
