How to Factory Reset your IPhone from settings menu
This process is applicable to any iPhone 4s - iPhone 8.
⚠ Master reset restores the original factory settings of your device and deletes your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloads, ringtones, images, apps, contacts, and Visual Voicemail.
Data saved on the SIM card or SD card will be deleted.
Follow this few steps:
Back up data on the internal memory to your computer or SD card.
If Apple FMiP Activation Lock is enabled, you will need access to the internet to complete these steps.
- Tap settings from the Home screen.
- Tap General, go to Reset.
- Tap the option(s) to reset:
- Reset All Settings
- Erase All Content and Settings
- This deletes any saved Wi-Fi profiles.
- Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
- Reset Home Screen Layout.
- Reset Location and Privacy.
- Type in the device password (if prompted).
- Confirm selection.
Use this option for master reset.Reset Network Settings
Done! Then wait for the device to reboot itself.
Hard reset your device:
Use key combinations to Hard rest your device, If the device menus are frozen or unresponsive, you can reset your device using hardware keys.
Back up data on the internal memory to your computer or SD card.

- Keep holding it until you see the screen go black.
- Release both buttons when the white Apple logo appears.
