Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Text: John 16:24

Please do read the chapter and bring on your questions and comments.

This direct statement from our Lord Jesus Christ opens up to us the great secret behind praying and asking God for things in the name of Christ. We can not do without asking as children of the kingdom, more so that we are commanded to ask that we may receive.

However, our receiving is not based on our asking alone but in whose name we ask. Jesus noted that as long as he was physically present with His disciples they have no reason to ask the father anything in His name.
After all He is to receive a name above all names by which all knees will bow and tongue confess only when He's been to the cross, resurrected from the dead and gone to be with the father.

Beloved, Christ has fulfilled this criteria, He has earned that name and willed the name to us. Now we have the mandate to ask the father anything in His name.
God cannot refuse any request from Jesus. When we ask in his name it means: firstly, that our request has the endorsement of Christ.

Secondly, it is seen by heaven as a request from Christ Himself. Be more confident henceforth in asking, even this day, ask in His name, believe, God will grant your request.
I encourage you, Keep praying, Keep asking, answers are on the way.
Jesus cares and he is praying for you.

Worship and pray.
